Gianluca D’Agostino has been a researcher at the Center for the Study of the Novel at Stanford University and he is Visiting Scholar at the Film Studies Program of University of California Berkeley. He worked with Lew Hunter by teaching a course within his Euro-Screenwriting Colony. At present he works as story editor and screenwriter both in Italy and in the U.S.
GD is campaigning for the introduction in Italy of the Hollywood storytelling techniques. On this topic he published the book “High Concept”, Marketing & narratives in Hollywood films. D’Agostino writes also for the all news media The Examiner and American Chronicle.  iN 2009 he published the book “Baaria”,  from Giuseppe Tornatore’s movie. In 2008 D’Agostino gathered major world literature excerpts to make up  the book for OHCHR “Human Rights Stories”, in order to celebrate the 60° anniversary of the Universal declaration of human rights.
